History of department is "Psychology and special pedagogics
The primary purpose of department was educating of psychologists to the students of 1-2 courses of all specialities.
From 2005 to the department students study on speciality 5В010500 is " Defectology ".
From 2018 students will study on speciality 6В03130 is "Psychology".
During reorganization of universities and confluence of three university bases the department of psychology was reopened in 1996 on the base of the South-Kazakhstan humanitarian university.
From 2020 a managing department is appoint doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, Deserved worker of education РК, possessor of state underback the "Best teacher of institution" of higher learning 2010 year, rank the "Best professor" 2011
On results accreditation of НАОКО and НААР speciality 5В010500- (6В019) " Defectology " from 2014 took the 1 place. Annually our students occupy prize places on the Republican subject olympiads on psychology and дефектологии. Our the best students on academic mobility study in the universities of Poland, Russia and Kazakhstan.
